**The good news for fixed indexed annuity sales just keeps coming! **

FIA’s continue gaining mainstream acceptance for the benefits they provide: safety, guarantees, guaranteed income. However, in a recent article in Wealth magazine, Diana Britton reviews recent research by economist Roger Ibbotson detailing his opinion on the accumulation opportunity offered by fixed indexed annuities as a bond replacement in a diversified retirement portfolio.

As part of his analysis he offers a hypothetical net return comparison of FIA’s, long term government bonds and large cap stocks which I am sure you will find interesting. Per Britton, Ibbotson goes on to talk about the general volatility of the market, and how fixed indexed annuities are a viable alternative means of de-risking portfolios.
