It never fails that we have some great news to share and at least an opportunity or two to do a better job, and they run the gamut from new business processing to licensing to new product news. It struck me this past Tuesday that the one common denominator was that each point we discussed focused on you, the producer. Later in the meeting, as we reviewed business received, business issued and business pending, I was reminded that our success formula has always been a simple one: “Take care of the producer” and everything else will take care of itself. Thank you for another great production year! 2017 offered ample opportunity for failure in the fixed annuity arena with DOL uncertainty, continued rate pressure and an unquenchable stock market; but you demonstrated once again that the market for safety, guarantees, tax deferral and steady growth has a fire all its own. As our momentum has increased over the second half of ’17, we hope you share our unbridled optimism for the coming year. If you did not have time to fit Single Premium Life (SPL) into your business mix in 2017, please take a closer look to open up some great opportunities for your business this year. Simpler underwriting on dollar efficient products that also answer many of your client concerns about the threat of ballooning LTC costs makes SPL an undeniable stand-up triple.
